And if so, what did you think? I don't know why, but I'm hooked on this new show as well as American Idol and even America's Got Talent, although that is my least favorite of the three.

Anyway, a guy from my home town of Columbus was the runner up for the first season of The X Factor. I voted for him, not just because he's from my city but because I really liked his voice. I was sad he didn't win but relieved that at least he came in second, and I hope he got enough exposure to help his career.

Anyone have any thoughts on the show in general or on who won?

I liked the show, and was also dissapointed that Josh didn't win. I thought he so deserved it. On the plus side, there was incredible talent. and the production sounded good. On the bad side, there was a lot of repeating, which I suppose is par for these kind of shows. I used to love "O Fortuna", but they overplayed it. The host was terrible i have to say. I saw the UK top 3 show, and there were some differences. The final 3 performed at Wembly stadium, and the voting started at the beginning of the show and closed near the end.

Melanie was good, but she never did a really upbeat song. I get tired of the "ballad only" singers...

Josh did an amazing job on "Wild Horses" too.
